Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning for Craig David and Rita Ora’s gig at the The Country Ground in Northampton in September.

This week’s announcement was the latest in a line of outdoor shows taking place across the county this summer which is already set to include gigs by Little Mix, Lionel Richie and Paloma Faith.

Performing tracks such as 7 Days, Walking Away, When the Bassline Drops, Nothing Like This, Heartline and I Know You, Craig David and his full live band will be performing hit after hit on Saturday, September 1.

He said, “I’m really looking forward to bringing my show and band to Northampton in September. This will be one of only a handful of shows I am doing in the UK this summer so let’s make it big night and a time to party.

“Having Rita Ora as my special guest makes this even more special as we worked together back in the day and I’ve always been a big fan of her and her music.”

Craig David has sold 15 million albums worldwide, has had multi Brit Award and Grammy nominations and is an Ivor Novello Award Winner.

Rita Ora has recently equalled the Official Chart record for the most top 10 singles by a British female artist.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, March 16, and cost £39.50 for Bronze tickets, £45 for Silver tickets and £60 for Golden Circle tickets. All prices exclude fees. All tickets are standing.

Tickets will be available via www.ticketmaster.co.uk and 0800 988 4440.

Don Broco will headline The Roadmender in May as part of a run of new dates which the band has added to their UK tour.

The Bedford quartet released their third album Technology in February and kicked off their UK shows with a hometown gig at the town’s Corn Exchange.

They will headline the Roadmender on Wednesday, May 2. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, February 23, via http://myticket.co.uk/artists/don-broco

Released to widespread critical acclaim earlier this month, Technology became the band’s second Top 10 album and first to break the Top 5.

Sheffield’s RedFaces headlined The Black Prince on Friday night. The second night of their February UK tour, the venue was busy and ready to go at it from the beginning. Highlight of the RedFaces set? Probably ‘Kerosene’. Support came from a Northampton trio at different stages of their development: The Barratts are the kids that strut it like seasoned pros, Phantom Isle the London-experienced confident quarter ready to push on, whilst openers Citrus played just their second show with the vim and verve of people in love with what they do.

Here’s a few photos from the gig courtesy of David Jackson.

Rocked Up has today revealed the first acts which will play its Hootenanny at Rockingham Motor Speedway this summer.

The promoters held an official launch night for the event at The White Hart in Corby last week and have now announced Essex alt rockers InMe, jazz hip-hop trio Flamer Griller and Corby’s King Purple as the first acts which will be playing.

In a career spanning more than 20 years, InMe have toured the world, released six albums, played on some of the biggest festival stages in the UK and supported the likes of Deftones and Biffy Clyro. They are due to release a new album this year.

InMe will be main support of the Rocked Up main stage. King Purple will be playing the YUK tent and Flame Griller – which features vocalists and producers ExP, JND and Addverse – the hip-hop stage.

Flame Griller sold out The Hut in 2016. They have released two albums and have been championed by the likes of DJ Format, Frankie Boyle and DJ Yoda.

Corby rising stars King Purple have previously supported the likes of Dream Wife, Husky Loops and Jordan Allen. They are currently working on new material.

More than 100 people brought early bird tickets in the first weekend they went on sale. They are available now via www.crowdfunder.co.uk/rocked-up-hootenanny-2018 until March 1.

There will also be an extreme sports area in conjunction with Adrenaline Alley and BBC Introducing in Northampton will also be hosting and filming acoustic sessions in its tent.

Rocked Up are expected to announce more of the line up in the coming weeks and months.

You can check out InMe’s 2015 video to Amnesty: Bonsai Forest below.

The Jesus and Mary Chain recently headlined the Roadmender as part of the band’s tour of their latest album Damage & Joy.

The new LP is the first they have released in more than 19 years.

Deafeningly loud throughout, the band opened with ‘Amputation’ and played a set largely comprising of material from their Damage & Joy, Automatic and Darklands LPs.

Below are a few photos taken by photographer David Jackson.

Support was by Brix and the Extricated [below]
