THUMPER [all capitals] are the band everyone’s talking about in Ireland, delivering bubblegum pop through a wall of sonic death. With a reputation for raucous and frenzied live shows and penchant for howling feedback and pounding rhythm, each show is an exercise in unpredictability. Support from beloved four-piece alternative/indie band from ShoeTown, and new and jazzy indie/alt-rock band from Northampton/MK. Doors 7.30pm, £5.50 tickets

A unique vintage sound with a gritty, modern edge from your Cheltenham headliners – described as ‘No Doubt meets Imelda May’. Bernie Keith is a big fan we hear. With a Bo Diddley beat and a rockabilly flair the two-piece maraca driven combo of trash rattle ’n’ roll in support are worthy of your time too we suspect [wink wink, nod nod].
