The four-piece headliners combine the sweet sound of the ukulele with gritty, british vocals, quirky melodies and contemporary lyrics. Tom Rose is a celebrated musician, singer, songwriter and naturalist from Northamptonshire. Openers are an original four-piece band with an alternative rock style. [think Biffy Clyro,  The Strokes]. Fundraiser for the animal sanctuary. Vegan food and vegan bar. Music under cover in a barn. Any Minute No, InErrant, Zounds, Cretin, Contempt, Captain Hotknives, Catkin, Jammie Sammie, Ed Ache, Denada, Borrowed Time, Headstone Horrors, The Mispelt, Active Slaughter, Almighty Uprisers, and Eastfield all perform. Costs for weekend including camping: Adults – £25. Big kids (17 & under) – £15. Family – £60. Little kids (under 8) – free. Campsite open 3pm Friday to 1pm Sunday. NORTHAMPTON MUSIC FESTIVAL
Sunday June 16th
Various stage around the Town Centre, Northampton
ShoeTown becomes ShowTown, as the music festival returns. There’s six stages focusing on different elements. The Main Stage is headlined by new wave legends The Blockheads. We have a New Boots stage at the NN Contemporary Art Gallery, in the courtyard. Live performances from Ginger Snaps, The Big Dirty, L30 Robinson/Anonynous/XOV, Phantom Isle, GoGo Loco, Kinships, and Kian Russell, with a pop-up bar from Maule Collective and Jamaican-style street food from BoxFood. Most stages begin at midday, and the event finishes in the market square at 9pm. Free entry everywhere.
